Sylvia composes and plays on an Imperial –Aliquot- "Julius Blüthner" Piano. This piano is one of the super-high-end European pianos.
The Blüthner has been the appointed official piano to many European royal courts including those of the German Kaiser, Queen Victoria, the Russian Tsar, the Danish King, the Turkish Sultan, and the King of Saxony.
Because of its glorious pure bell like sounds; the ability to produce ethereal sounds; and, its exceptional control; the Blüthner has been the ‘favorite’ of many artists. Composers like Liszt, Brahms, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Shostakovich, Lloyd Weber, and even the Beatles composed much of their music on Blüthner pianos.
