Christian Wenzel was born in 1977 in Marburg, Germany. He studied music at Freiburg University of Music and Jazz at Trossingen University of Music, Germany. He later studied Orchestral Conducting at Canford School of Music in England.
His Composition studies include courses with Malcolm Singer (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London) at Canford School of Music in England; Ivan Fedele (Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome) in Strasbourg; and Mark Andre at Strasbourg National Conservatory in France.
Christian Wenzel has written for a variety of media including solo pieces, chamber music, orchestra music, and vocal repertoire. His music has been performed in the USA, Germany, France, Spain, and England.
Wenzel is not only a composer but an advocator of Contemporary Music. He is a co-founder and co-director of both, the annual "FLAMINGO International Festival of New-Art-Music," in the USA, and, the "EUROAMERICAN Festival of New-Art-Music," in Europe.
As a conductor, Christian Wenzel had collaborated with many composers premiering many of their works with both: The SECCO "SouthEast Composers Chamber Orchestra," in the USA, and, with the ECCO "EUROAMERICAN Chamber Orchestra," in Europe. Mr. Wenzel is the Artistic Advisor and Associate Conductor of both organizations.
As a conductor, Wenzel has performed in multiple concerts celebrated in several countries, including: Spain, France, Germany and the USA.
